The Ravalli County GIS Department's main function is to assist and support other departments within the County with any
maps and any geographical data that may be needed to operate. We also collect and create data for use throughout the County.

The Ravalli County GIS department DOES NOT disseminate any geographic information to private organizations such as Google,
Garmin, Yahoo!, MapQuest etc. We cannot provide data to update personal GPS units because the data used in these units are proprietary. If any
data is found to be incorrect with these various services please do not contact the GIS department as we have no affiliation with these companies.
