Ravalli County Weed District in compliance with the “Montana County Weed Control Act” Title 7 Chapter 22 Part 2121 (3) is managing noxious weeds on all land or rights-of-way owned or controlled by the county or any municipality within the district. The weed district uses an integrated system including, mowing, revegetation, bio-control and herbicides.
Because debris causes a hazard for the mower all landowners are requested not to place debris in the right-of-way. The weed district will post all work being done with herbicides on rights-of-way. Please note signs indicating “SPRAY CREW AHEAD” and use caution when traveling those roads as the equipment will be moving rather slow or may be stopped completely.
