Thank you for expressing interest in the Ravalli County Sheriff’s Office Cadet Program. The mission of this program is to encourage interest in the Law Enforcement Profession, by young people between the ages of fifteen and twenty years of age. Cadets will help provide the means for the Ravalli County Sheriff’s Office to work with the community.
The Cadet Program is a ride-along program. Cadets will be observing with the Patrol Division of the Sheriff’s Office. Cadets will also be tasked with observing and working in the Ravalli County 911 Dispatch Center. Participants will be expected to attend a monthly meeting. Other tasks may be assigned depending on the Cadet’s abilities and experience.
The Sheriff’s Office will make every effort to keep the out-of-pocket expenses to a minimum, but Cadets will be expected to purchase a uniform shirt. Applicants must be able to arrange their own transportation for meetings and ride along.
Upon receiving the completed application, the applicant will complete an interview and undergo a background check.
