- Do not chew gum or have anything in your mouth in the courtroom. No food or drink is allowed.
- Dress as if you are going to the most important job interview of your life - this really can make a good impression.
- Do not invite your friends to come watch the show - bring your parents, guardian, or immediate adult family.
- While waiting for court, do not make noise outside of the courtroom or in the courtroom for that matter!
- Talk to the probation department or your attorney about what is expected of you and about your appearance.
- Comb your hair and wear clean clothes. The first impression you make will be the lasting impression.
- Always address the Judge as “ Your Honor.” If you are asked a question, answer with “ Yes, Sir” or “No, Sir.”
